What is Vero and how can you use it to grow your BRAND

Hold up, another Social Media Platform? Why should I even care, you might be asking yourself. Well, fact of the matter is…you should, and you should take advantage of it right now.

There’s been a lot of hype around the internet over the last month or so regarding Vero and what it’s all about. I have to say, I was curious and downloaded it to start up a page for The Switch Effect. I had a look around, did some research online and realized WOW does this app have a ton of potential!

Vero – True Social

What is it that makes Vero so special and why should you join? I did my research and found some pretty cool information to show you how Vero is unique as a Social Media platform.

  • Smarter Social – Control who you share information with, just like we do in real life.
  • Smarter Sharing – Movies, TV, Music, Books, Places, Links and Photos – these are all things we all love to share and Vero has made it even easier than ever before.
  • Smarter Connecting – Everything isn’t for everyone, so you can now choose your audience for each post (close friend, friend, acquaintance and follower)
  • Smarter Creating – A ton of brands and artists have all ready made Vero their Social of choice!
  • Smarter Engaging – Each post has so many possibilities; you can buy stuff straight from the post, listen to music tracks, watch trailers and more
  • Smarter Feed – NO ADS

Playing around with the app for a while I realized that it’s kind of as if Instagram and Tumblr had a baby…and that baby brought a few new things to the table! But wait, there’s more! Quite a few things have stood out to me about Vero which have great potential to be utilized as a primary Social Media Platform for Bloggers, Artists, and Businesses.

Posts are Chronological. Yes, you read that right, when you check your feed, the posts show up in chronological order! Unlike Instagram and Twitter which seem to have wonky algorithms that show you posts willy nilly, Vero shows you posts in chronological order and have assured its users that this will never change!

NO BOTS. At least not yet. I’m not holding my breath out for this one. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Appearance. The appearance is really sleek and eye catching and really helps beautiful pictures to stand out.

How can you grow your Brand using Vero?

Firstly, JOIN NOW. Over the last month, there has been a massive influx of users who have flocked to Vero out of frustration with Facebook and Instagram’s terrible algorithms. This means that you can get ahead of the curve and carve out your little niche while the getting’s fresh.

As always, with any platform, take advantage of hashtags. It seems that Vero, much like Instagram, allows a pretty number of hashtags. Now, I wouldn’t overdo it, like some of the profiles I have seen on there, but it does seem like the twitter 2-3 doesn’t apply to Vero.

Create Variety. Share a link to your latest blog post. Share a behind the scenes picture. Load up your favorite song or the trailer of a movie or TV show you’re watching. Let your followers see you for who you really are beyond a few pictures and words.

Like and Follow other people. Especially within your niche. The scene is new and everyone is eager to get to know the app and each other. Get in there while the hype is still fresh and get that following boost before other people catch on!

So, what do you think? Will Vero be the next big thing or will it be a bust? Let me know in the comments below!
